SHEFFIELD’s scheduled home fixture against league newcomers Northampton on Thursday has been postponed.
Heavy rain started to fall late on Tuesday night and has been followed by regular torrential downpours throughout Wednesday.
Areas of the track have already been left underwater and with even heavier rain forecast late Wednesday night and from Thursday noon onwards, Tigers bosses have made the early call to minimise inconvenience for all.
A new date for the clash is to be confirmed.
The Tigers are back on home shale on Bank Holiday Monday (May 25, 7.30pm) for a ROWE Motor Oil Premiership head-to-head with Belle Vue – the two will also meet in Manchester at 12 noon on the same day.
