Aspire Pre‑Flight Hospitality (Aspire), Swissport International’s airport hospitality brand, has announced the opening of a new Luxe by Aspire and Suite by Aspire offering at Birmingham Airport. In 2025, Aspire welcomed 1.2 million passengers across its UK&I lounges. This latest expansion marks the next phase in Aspire’s continued investment into the UK&I market.

From summer 2026, guests will have the choice of three tiers of access:

  • An extended, upgraded and fully refurbished Aspire Lounge. Featuring 135 seats and designed for all travellers, the lounge combines award-winning service, thoughtfully designed surroundings, and exquisite food and drink in one inviting space.
  • A brand-new lounge featuring: Luxe by Aspire which provides all the facilities that those travelling for business and upscale leisure would expect within an exclusive, private space. With 104 seats, guests can expect an upscale experience with more spaces to work, relax, and enjoy an enhanced F&B offering.
  • Suite by Aspire crafted for the most discerning travellers. Featuring 52 seats and reminiscent of first-class air travel, Suite by Aspire offers guests exclusivity, à la carte menus, and personal table-side service from our award-winning hospitality team.

“We have been delighted to work with Aspire on these new and improved lounges, which form part of our wider commercial concourse development offering more choice for our passengers,” said Richard Gill, Commercial Director, Birmingham Airport. “These enhancements are a key element of our growth strategy, supporting both current demand and future passenger growth.”

Borrowing from Birmingham’s cultural and industrial heritage, including the canal network and science museum, each space has been designed with a distinct sense of place. Bathed in natural light and calming tones to provide an air of serenity to the pre-flight experience, the new lounges will benefit from work and leisure zones, runway views and dedicated toilet facilities.

“We’re delighted to introduce our proven Luxe by Aspire and Suite by Aspire products to Birmingham in addition to a new look for our Gate 1 Aspire lounge,” said James Millett, Director of Lounges UK&I and Global Customer Innovation at Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality. “Birmingham’s investment plan and terminal work is creating significant opportunities for partners, travellers and our guests. With over 13m travelling in 2025 and significant future growth ahead, we look forward to welcoming guests in our latest design-led lounge with elevated food and beverage offering and our award-winning hospitality. The lounge is designed with our data-led insight at the heart, and we’re excited to launch in Summer 2026.”
