Organisers say this year’s festival will combine “the very best food to a soundtrack of folk and fusion”, with a mix of free and ticketed events taking place across the site.

Live performances are scheduled in the Piccolo and Palais Du Variété venues, with acts including Breabach, Seth Lakeman, An Dannsa Dub and Dlù.

Alongside music, the festival will feature street food vendors, workshops and family-focused entertainment.

Children’s events include Comedy Club 4 Kids, The Greatest Magic Show and the Explosive Science Show.

The festival evolved from the long-running Edinburgh Food Festival and now aims to bring together food, live music and community events in a central outdoor setting.

Dani Rae, managing director of Assembly Festival, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing back the folk to the Edinburgh Folk & Food Festival for a second year after the huge successes of 2025.

“We’ve got an incredible lineup of the best folk music in Scotland and beyond, as well as some fantastic local food vendors to announce and we can’t wait for audiences to join us for a dance and a bite to eat.”

Tickets for events go on sale at midday on May 15 through the festival website.
