Merseyside Police was called to Childwall Sports and Science Academy after a threat was reportedly made towards a pupil. The threat is believed to have been made by a teenager today, Thursday, May 14.
The report was made just before midday, police said.
The force confirmed there’s not believed to be any wider threat to any other pupil or member of staff at the school.
Officers, including a dedicated Safer Schools Officer, are currently at the school to provide reassurance, and enquiries are being carried out into the incident.
The decision to lockdown the site has been made by the school.
