IONITY GmbH had asked Calderdale Council planners to grant lawful development certificate for the bays at the Cedar Court Hotel at Lindley Moor Road, Ainley Top, Elland, which is on the Calderdale-Kirklees border.
IONITY wanted to install the bays and their associated electric equipment in the hotel’s car park, with six charging units serving 12 spaces, according to supporting documents submitted with the application.
An application submitted separately and concurrently seeks permission for a Low Voltage (LV) Panel and Power Cabinet as supporting infrastructure.
The company’s covering letter with the application says: “It is considered that the proposed development can be carried out using the permitted development rights.”
But this week’s list of Calderdale Council decisions says the plans have been “withdrawn”, although no reason is given.
