A huge venue update has been issued this afternoon for the Aston Villa UEFA Europa League Final fan park which was due to be held at Luna Springs next week.
Digbeth nightclub Luna Springs has had its licence suspended for 28 days after a double stabbing last weekend.
It means fan park organisers, 4TheFans, have been searching for a new venue for the event on Wednesday, May 20, which had already sold dozens of tickets.

4TheFans has now confirmed to BirminghamLive that the event will be moved to the city’s Utilita Arena in what they’ve called the ‘biggest-ever fan park experience’.
The move will give thousands of Villa fans the chance to watch the Europa League final on anti-glare screens with world-class sound systems.
Two unconfirmed Aston Villa football legends will also provide analysis throughout the game. There will also be DJs and entertainment, special effects and a fully stocked bar.
Doors will open at 5pm, ahead of the 8pm kick-off.
Existing tickets will be transferred over to the new venue, with more tickets – including front tables – now available to buy. General admission tickets start from £18.75, with premium seats from £26.

A spokesman for 4TheFans said: “4TheFans worked quickly to secure one of the UK’s biggest indoor arenas – there are no limits to how big this fan park can get. With the unstoppable claret and blue army coming together to mark this historic moment, the 4TheFans fan park will deliver a genuine, stadium-like atmosphere as fans roar Villa towards the club’s first European trophy since 1982.
“One thing is guaranteed at Utilita – the claret-and-blue support will be every bit as noisy, passionate, and fierce as anything inside Beşiktaş Park.
“Utilita Arena has hosted the Commonwealth Games, the World Indoor Championships, Elton John, WWE, The Eurovision Song Contest, Les Misérables – the list of huge, world-famous events goes on. Now 4theFans is joining with Villa fans to create another historic event.
“Whatever happens, ecstasy or heartbreak, this is a match that Villa fans need to experience together, and it doesn’t get any bigger or better than 4TheFans at Utilita Arena.”
You can book tickets for the Aston Villa fan park at Utilita Arena on May 20 through the 4TheFans website here.
4TheFans is also hosting the World Cup 2026 fan park in Birmingham from Wednesday, June 17. Events in Birmingham are currently scheduled for England’s matches on Wednesday, June 17; Tuesday, June 23; and Saturday, June 27.
The decision to suspend Luna Spring’s licence was made at a meeting of Birmingham City Council’s licensing sub-committee on Wednesday (May 13).
