The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) governing council on Monday announced the revised schedule for the remainder of the 2025 edition, which is set to be resumed on May 17, 2025 (Saturday)
The league, which was suspended due to the heightened military conflicts between India and Pakistan, is all set to return to action. It was halted on May 8 after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off after Pakistan tried to invade Indian air space near Chandigarh, forcing a blackout in the stadium.
The first match upon the resumption of the league will be between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru on May 17.
IPL 2025 | Revised Schedule – FULL | Rajasthan Royals (RR) | Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) | Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) | Punjab Kings (PBKS) | Chennai Super Kings (CSK) | Mumbai Indians (MI) | Gujarat Titans (GT) | Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) | Delhi Capitals (DC) | Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
The six venues for league matches as per the revised schedule will be: Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
The matches have been restricted to six venues, with the final set to be played on June 3, 2025. However, the venues for the playoff stages, including the final, have yet to be announced.
The venues for the playoff matches will be announced at a later date.
A total of 17 matches will be played across six venues, and the revised schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on two Sundays.
