Kitchen experts Lynsay Deery and Danny Brown have joined forces to open their very first Kutchenhaus German kitchen showroom in Edinburgh.

Situated at 17 Church Hill Pl, Edinburgh, EH10 4BE, Lynsay and Danny have undertaken a significant renovation project to transform a disused funeral parlour into a contemporary kitchen showroom from the UK’s fastest-growing kitchen franchise business.

Kutchenhaus Edinburgh showcases the point where German engineering meets exquisite design across an immersive 1,200 sq. ft space which features four kitchen displays, a media centre and reception area, plus forward-thinking appliances from brands such as NEFF and Siemens.

Owners Lynsay and Danny bring a wealth of experience to the business, each with over 20 years in the industry, 10 of which were spent working together running a successful department.

Lynsay comments: “My passion is all things furniture and interiors, and I’ve been fortunate to have a career where I love what I do. Having completed a degree in design and applied arts at Edinburgh College of Art, to finally be doing this for myself with Danny feels like a full circle moment. I always get a real buzz from meeting new clients and enjoy discovering their unique personalities.

“My experience includes working within furniture before moving into kitchens and becoming a showroom manager. I’ve specialised in German kitchens and it’s therefore the perfect way to open our first showroom.”

She continued: “We’ve completely renovated the space to convert it into the Kutchenhaus Edinburgh you see today, and we believe we’ve created a unique look and feel which visitors will enjoy.

“For example, the beautiful arches of the property are a lovely feature we’ve kept amongst the changes, and these were instead emphasised during the renovation. They showcase the height of the ceiling which really brings a new dimension to the different colours and textures of the beautiful kitchen displays and appliances we’re presenting.

“We’re keen to make an impact in Morningside alongside the selection of independent stores which neighbour us. Now that we’re here, we want to give back to the community and establish ourselves as a well-known business which cares about local people.”

Danny and Lynsay share similar values which meant a partnership made perfect sense following their time together at a previous company. Danny adds: “I’ve worked in kitchens since 1995, starting as a designer and then becoming a branch manager. My experience is across all aspects, including sales, so I know what works and this knowledge motivated me to take on the new venture with Lynsay.

“The location we’ve taken over has been unused for six years and we’ve been delighted to hear from people saying that they’re so pleased someone is now in the store. Lynsay and I are on the same page and we both love meeting new people and getting to know their story. Each client will receive a thoughtful, personal service from us as we work collaboratively with them to craft their vision.

Known for creating affordable German kitchens which are beautifully designed and skilfully engineered, Kutchenhaus now operates a network of 100 showrooms. Owned by nobilia, Europe’s largest made-to-order kitchen manufacturer, the brand delivers an exceptional experience for its customers and is rated ‘Excellent’ by Trustpilot.

Danny concludes: “The German product we offer is second to none and the options we possess allow clients to add their own flair to a design. We’re looking forward to welcoming more people through our doors and getting to know them before creating a kitchen that reflects their lifestyle, taste, and the way they want to live.”
