People have taken to social media to comment on the horrendous traffic delays in the Edgbaston area.
One said: “Avoid Hagley Road! Horrible accident at Ivy Bush junction heading out of town.
“Roads closed, Hagley Road out of town from Ivy Bush, Monument road also closed.
“Traffic backed up as far as Bristol Road.”
Another person said they had been stuck on the bus for more than an hour as it navigates diversions.
