Around 20 firefighters are tackling a large blaze in Birmingham.
Crews are currently at Clarel Avenue – a mostly industrial road – in Saltely this evening.
The nature of the incident is unknown, but drivers are being advised to avoid the area due to congestion.

West Midlands Fire Service said: “We have five crews in attendance at Clarel Avenue, Saltley, Birmingham, where they have responded to a fire at this location.
“Please avoid the area, where possible.”

West Midlands Roads said: “Due to this incident, congestion and delays are expected to build up in the area.
“Allow extra time to travel and consider other routes.”

The blaze has sent thick plumes of black smoke high into the air, which could be seen for miles around.
Many people have taken to social media to share their sightings of the smoke and enquire about the incident.
Clarel Avenue, off Landor Street, is lined with heavy industries, including several skip and scrap car firms.
