Apple Singapore has quietly expanded its year-round Education pricing programme to include the Apple Watch, giving students and educators another way to buy deeper into Apple’s ecosystem at a lower price.

Up until now, Apple’s Education store in Singapore mainly focused on Macs and iPads, which makes sense given how heavily both devices are used in schools and universities. But adding the Apple Watch feels like a fairly natural extension too, especially for students who are already carrying an iPhone daily.

Apple says the watch can help with productivity and organisation through features like Focus modes, Siri, Timers, Calendar and Reminders, although if you ask me, this is also about making the Apple ecosystem feel even more interconnected for younger users.

Beyond that, the company is also highlighting the wearable’s fitness, sleep tracking and safety features, including Emergency SOS and Crash Detection.

Eligible customers can access Education pricing online or through Apple Retail stores after verifying their student or educator status through UNiDAYS using an academic email address.
