Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a man was ‘run over’ in Birmingham.
The Metropolitan Police swooped on the men at Euston Station as they had just arrived for the Unite the Kingdom protest in central London on Saturday (May 16).
A man in his 30s suffered serious injuries following a collision with a van, on Mayfield Road, Stirchley, on Thursday evening (May 14).
The van had failed to stop and was recovered on nearby Prince Road was being examined by police.
The Met Police said: “Officers have made two arrests in the vicinity of Euston station.
“Two men, wanted on suspicion of GBH following an incident in Birmingham where a man was run over, were spotted arriving into London to attend the UTK protest.”

West Midlands Police said on Friday: “We’re investigating after a collision involving a van and a pedestrian in Stirchley on Thursday night.
“The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, suffered leg injuries in the collision on Mayfield Road and remains in hospital.
“The van failed to stop at the scene but was recovered on nearby Prince Road and is now being examined.
“We are viewing CCTV and social media footage as we work to identify the full circumstances of what happened.
“Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch via 101, quoting 5802 of 14 May.”
