Mottisfont’s latest display, The Art & Craft of Print, showcases more than 80 colourful and expressive prints in its transformed gallery spaces. It opened on May 9.

The exhibition features work from nearly 30 leading contemporary printmakers, alongside prominent 20th-century artists such as Edward Bawden.

Sue Laws, exhibition curator, said: “Our visitors are really enjoying the exhibition and being surrounded by artwork, pattern, and colour.

“The gallery really feels like a home again, with the beautiful wallpapers and the printed curtains hanging in the windows.

“People are fascinated to see that the wallpaper and fabric are made from original prints and to learn the processes behind the work.

“We’ve had lovely comments about what a joyful space it is to be in, how homely it feels, and with so much to look at.”

The exhibition runs at Mottosfont, near Romsey, until November 1. Entry to the exhibition is included as part of the usual property admission fee (free for National Trust members, Art Fund members and under 5s). There is no need to book
