A man has been charged with causing injury dangerous driving following a bus crash in Salford last year.
Emergency services were called to Barton Lane, Eccles, following reports of an incident shortly after 3pm on July 21, 2025. An investigation was launched after a Bee Network bus collided with a bridge, tearing the roof from the vehicle.

Christopher Henry, of Thornhill Road, Tameside has now been charged with three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The 57-year-old has been bailed to attend Manchester Magistrates Court on September 15, 2026.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Christopher Henry, of Thornhill Road, Tameside has been charged with three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been bailed to attend Manchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday 15 September 2026.
“These charges come after a road traffic collision involving a bus striking a bridge which occurred on Monday 21 July 2025 on Barton Road, Eccles.”
A huge emergency service response occurred following the crash. Air ambulance a was called and multiple paramedics were called to the incident.
