Locals have been told to keep doors and windows closed

A medical centre in Keynsham has been evacuated as a fire has broken out this afternoon (Thursday, May 21).
Keynsham Health Centre has been evacuated after a fire broke out at an abandonded building on St Clements Road.
There are eight fire engines at the scene and local residents have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed.
St Augustine’s Medical Practice said: “The health centre has been evacuated due to a fire in a adjacent building. This is an developing situation – and it is likely that the health centre will remain closed for the remainder of the day.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “We’re currently responding to a fire in a derelict building on St Clements Road, Keynsham. We currently have eight fire engines in attendance and a turntable ladder in attendance.
“We encourage local residents and those nearby to keep their doors and windows closed due to a large smoke plume. No injuries have been reported.
“The cause of the fire is currently unknown.”
