A man was charged with disorderly behaviour and had his dog seized after racial abuse was allegedly hurled at a Belfast street preacher.
The 53-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court next month following Saturday’s reported incident.
Police were called following a report of aggressive behaviour by an individual in Castle Place in the city centre on Saturday afternoon.
It was reported racially motivated abuse was directed at the street preacher.
Following the arrest, the accused man’s dog was taken into the custody of a Belfast City Council dog warden.
The man is due to appear in court on June 19, and all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
