Moreover, the Watch S5 features a 1.48-inch AMOLED display set within a 46 mm case. Sporting a 323 PPI pixel density thanks to a 480 x 480-pixel resolution, the display also peaks at 2,500 nits in certain conditions with 1,500 nits full panel brightness. The smartwatch contains built-in GPS too, as well as over 150 pre-installed sports modes.

Currently, Xiaomi has not revealed when it will be launching the Watch S5 outside China. However, the company is hosting a global launch event in Vienna on May 28. While it is focusing on the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, multiple other devices are also expected to be in attendance.

Hence, it seems likely that the Watch S5 could join the Xiaomi 17T series too. In the meantime, please see our launch article from earlier this year for more details about Xiaomi’s latest luxury smartwatch.
