Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, has promised to look into claims from Robeisy Ramirez that his fight with Asror Vokhidov was today unduly cancelled in Uzbekistan.

“Tonight I was supposed to be fighting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan,” Ramirez, 14-3 (9 KOs), wrote on social media. “Instead my fight got cancelled over a ‘supposedly’ late MRI. I made my position clear to @wbcmoro [Sulaiman] in our call with my attorney. Mauricio, you say you look out for fighters. Prove it. Do right by boxing. Do right by me.”
