Two men have been charged after an armed police incident at an antiques event in Salford last week. Officers were called to reports of an attempted robbery during the roadshow at the Swinton Masonic Hall last Wednesday (May 27).
Witnesses saw a large police presence in the car park outside the venue on Hospital Road at around 11.30am, which was temporarily locked down amid the response.
Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation into the incident and has since charged two suspects who have been bailed pending their next court appearance.

Thomas King, 60, of Claremont Drive, Little Hulton and Keith Harrison, 52, of Buile Hill Avenue, Little Hulton, have both been charged with attempted robbery; possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit a robbery and possession of an offensive weapon (baseball bat).
Harrison was also charged with taking without consent and possession of a class B drug, Greater Manchester Police confirmed. The pair have been released on bail pending a future court appearance.
