Officers made a significant discovery after two men tried to run from police after a pursuit came to a sudden stop in Oldham.
A black BMW 1 Series car raised officers’ suspicion when it was seen being driven along Hollins Road at around 9.40am this morning (May 15).
Police tried to get the driver to pull over, but the vehicle failed to stop.
Greater Manchester Police says a ‘short pursuit’ took place before the car came to an abrupt halt on Birchenlea Street, in Chadderton, where the car smashed into a lamppost.
While searching the car, police recovered a sword. They also recovered cash and class A drugs from the two suspects, who were quickly caught up by officers.
