Police incident on Wilmslow Road in Didsbury
There were chaotic scenes as police responded to reports of youths fighting in Didsbury village. Witnesses said it was ‘absolute beldam’ on Friday evening (June 26).
There were large crowds as trouble erupted before officers arrived. Images showed scores of police cars at the scene on Wilmslow Road as crowds dispersed.
Greater Manchester Police said one person was arrested on suspicion of assault. Another person another on suspicion of theft.

“Absolute bedlam in the village this evening,” one person said on Facebook.
