Semi-Final Two of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 was watched by an average of 804,000 viewers on La 2.
During the course of Semi-Final Two, 3,285,000 viewers watched at least one minute of the show on La 2, with an average audience of 804,000 viewers recorded. The competition had an audience share of 6.5%, overall the show was the most watched broadcast on La 2 yesterday.
Overall interest in the Eurovision Song Contest in Spain is up compared to 2024, with both Semi-Final broadcasts reaching higher audience numbers and share.
Who is Melody?
MelodÃa Ruiz Gutiérrez, better known as Melody, was born in 1990 in Dos Hermanas, Seville. She grew up in a musical household, influenced by her father, Lorenzo Ruiz Molina, the leader of the flamenco group Los Kiyos, and her mother, Ana Gutiérrez Flores. From a young age, Melody showed an extraordinary talent for music and performance.

Spain debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has competed annually since, making them the longest participating country that has never withdrawn. Spain has won the contest on two occasions; the first being in 1968 and the second time in 1969. 1969 is the only year where more than one song has won the contest. The 1969 contest saw a four-way tie between Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
