All Creatures Great and Small star Rachel Shenton has teased a new Yorkshire-set sitcom short film she is involved in.
The star’s company Slick Films is producing Rocket Fuel, which focuses on two kids on a Bradford estate who discover an abandoned car and turn it into a DIY spaceship.
Rachel, who is on board as an executive producer, unveiled the movie’s premiere date of 22 May on BBC Three in a joint Instagram post with director Jordon Scott Kennedy and others.
“We have lift-off! Rocket Fuel premieres on @bbcthree on 22 May at 21:50!” it says.
“Set on a Bradford estate, Lenny and Mullet find an abandoned car and turn it into a DIY spaceship,” the post further teases, describing the short as “a kitchen-sink science-fiction comedy about estate childhoods, big dreams, and escaping without going anywhere”.

Last year, Rachel addressed criticism that her character’s relationship with James Herriot was “boring”, explaining that their’s is “a really sort of rare love story” where a couple are “totally devoted to each other and on each other’s teams throughout”.
“I know that – I think I’ve had a question before which was like ‘Oh, is that a bit boring? That they always [come back together]’,” she added to Radio Times. “And I’m like ‘No, it’s the opposite of that’.”
Rocket Fuel will air on BBC Three on 22 May at 9.50pm.
