A man has been charged after officers recovered a gun and a knife following a robbery in Birmingham city centre.
Aaron Levy was arrested by officers from the city centre neighbourhood team on John Bright Street shortly after 5am on Sunday, May 18.
A firearm, knife, and Class B drugs were recovered nearby.

Following an investigation by West Midlands Police’s Major Crime Unit and Neighbourhood Crime Team, Levy, aged 26 and from Birmingham, was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a bladed article, and possession of cannabis.
He was remanded in custody and was due before Birmingham magistrates today, Tuesday, May 20.
The investigation into the robbery, where a man suffered an injury to his hand, was ongoing.

A second man, Abdi Seerar, 37, from Birmingham, was charged with robbery and is also due at Birmingham magistrates.
Police said they were working hard to drive down crime and take weapons off the streets of Birmingham city centre.
Operation Fearless launched in Birmingham’s Southside earlier this month.
It focused on the issues that matter most to people in places like The Arcadian, Chinese Quarter, Gay Village, and areas around Grand Central.
