Two people were arrested in Birmingham after firearms teams were assisted by the West Midlands Police dog unit following a foot chase.
PD (Police Dog) Kelly assisted firearms officers when they pursued two offenders who rushed from a car in the Birmingham area on Tuesday afternoon.
One suspected offender was detained when PD Kelly chased them down, before she tracked another suspected offender from the abandoned car, finding them hiding nearby.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Last night in Birmingham, AD27 & PD Kelly were on scene to assist when offenders ran from a car being pursued by West Midlands Police Firearms.
“PD Kelly detained on running away, then tracked from the abandoned vehicle to where another was hiding nearby. Great result.”
