The Prince of Wales is offically the highest rated pub for a roast dinner in all of London.

Set on St George’s Road in SE1, the pub has an impressive 4.8/5 rating from more than 1,500 reviews.

Out of the reviews, nearly 1,300 are rated excellent, earning The Prince of Wales the title of London’s best rated pub for a roast dinner.

The pub is described as being set in a cosy setting and previously won a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice badge in 2024.

The traditional pub has a beer garden with a large outdoor TV making it the ideal places to watch sports.

The local also hosts a karaoke evening every Friday night and serves a wide range of beers, spirits, wines and ciders.

But, it’s The Prince of Wales Sunday Roasts that earn it the most praise, with one guest describing it as “delightful”.

The pub offers five options for a roast, including beef, chicken, lamb, lamb shank and a vegan nut roast.

Each dinner comes with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, creamy mash and gravy.

Prices for the Sunday roasts start at £16.50 and rise to £18.95 for the lamb shank option.

On Tripadvisor, one guest said the roast had great value, sharing: “A delightful Sunday roast in a warm and welcoming atmosphere; the value was excellent, and it is ideally located.”
