Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has shared a first look at the wedding involving major villain Jez Blake, with fans sharing their excitement at the prospect of “big drama”.

Jez has been silently causing chaos in the village since his arrival last year, with the figure murdering both Dilly Harcourt and Abe Fielding before poisoning his daughter, Sienna, in the hope of controlling her.

Amid all this, the character has found romance in a relationship with John Paul McQueen, with the pair set to tie the knot in the near future. John Paul remains blissfully unaware of his partner’s crimes, with Jez making sure to cover his tracks.

As the big day approaches, Nadine Mulkerrin – who plays John Paul’s first cousin Cleo – fronted a behind-the-scenes video from the set of the Channel 4 soap, with the star revealing via Instagram that they were currently shooting the pair’s wedding.

“Hi guys – I’m going to give you a little sneak peak of what we’re doing today,” she began as she twirled the camera around the set. “We are filming John Paul and Jez’s wedding. The Blakes and the McQueens coming together.”

The video was greeted by several fans of the show, who suspected that Jez – who was recently caught in Tommy Odenkirk’s trap – may eventually be caught out on his big day as per traditional soap storytelling.

“Would love to see Jez’s get arrested for murder on his wedding day – there’s bound to be some big drama, there always is on wedding days 😂” remarked one fan, with another adding: “I’m hoping Jez gets caught during the wedding.”

“Can John Paul have a decent man already 🤦‍♀️” joked another fan, while one quipped: “What could possibly go wrong 😮😂” Another fan urged the producers to give Jez and John Paul more screen time, before joking that John Paul knew “how to pick them”.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
