An eight-year-old boy was rushed to hospital in a serious condition after he was struck by a car in Birmingham.
The collision happened in Upton Road, South Yardley, at around 8.20pm last night (May 23).
Police said the youngster was rushed to hospital where he remains this afternoon.

Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash.
West Midlands Police said they were helping the force with its investigation into the collision.
A force spokesperson said: “We’re investigating after a boy aged eight was injured in a collision with a car in Birmingham last night.
“We were called to Upton Road, South Yardley, at around 8.20pm yesterday.

“The child remains in a serious condition in hospital this afternoon.

“The driver was spoken to by officers at the scene and is helping with the investigation.
“We’re appealing for anyone with information, mobile phone or dash-cam footage to come forward quoting log 5191 of May 23.”
