BGT fans couldn’t get enough of the cast of the new musical Here & Now, who opened the ITV show. But they weren’t the only ones to wow fans during the musical segment, as the 90s pop band Steps gatecrashed their performance during their rendition of their hit song Tragedy.

As Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Lisa Scott-Lee, Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Lee Latchford-Evans took the the stage, the audienced cheered as they belted out to chart-topping single. But many were left scratching their heads over H’s unusual wardrobe choice.

The 49-year-old strutted out on stage in an oufit which appeared to be a suit jacket on top before flowing into a bilowing skirt below. He styled his signature blonde locks into a tall quiffe which dramatically added to height.

Not everyone at home was impressed by his dramatic ensemble, with many taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their opinions online. One user penned: “Steps Claire looking a knockout [thumbs up emoji] Steps H looking a complete [clown emoji].”

Anotehr agreed: “Did H fall asleep with his head in a bucket?” as a third quipped: “Now we know whi Jedward’s dad is [shifty eyes emoji]. H from Steps.” A third asked: “What the hell has H done to his head … looks like a waxwork doll.”

Meanwhile, others loved the singer’s ensemble, with one user penning: “Goosebumps #Steps #BGT H’s outfit [thumbs up emoji].” Another agreed: “Loved H’s dress #bgt” as a third echoed: “H’s ages like a fine wine and his style just keeps getting better [fire emoji].”
