Emma Evans, 49, opened Holistic Heaven on April 1 in premises that used to be occupied by the Headin North Hair Design salon.
Her business offers a range of services, including reiki healing, Indian head massage, Hopi ear candling and spiritual guidance, with discounts available for children, pensioners and blue light workers.
Customers can also buy crystals, cards, incense, ‘witchy stuff’ and jewellery.

Heathline says reiki comes from Japanese energy healing traditions, and the practice is “based on the belief that an initiated reiki healer channels universal energy through their body and hands onto the receiver to facilitate balance and healing”.
Emma said: “I had been guided to quit my job which was the scariest thing ever, but liberating.
“My family and friends helped me to start it up. It’s slow and steady, but it’s nice. It’s the biggest leap I’ve taken in my entire life.
“It’s been really lovely. Anything more to begin with, and I’d have been overwhelmed.”
She says her practices have benefits such as improving clients’ sleep and self-confidence and can help relieve stress.

She added: “I want to have it as a community hub where people can come and have healing.
“I didn’t understand the gifts that I had until I was 25, and I saw a medium myself.
“Healing helps you become your authentic self.
“It’s mostly word-of-mouth. I’ve been doing healing for a such a long time, but this is the first time I’ve had a space by myself.”
