Manchester United fans dropped their clear-cut feelings on Jadon Sancho after the player’s impact in the 2025 Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday evening.

Real Betis took control of the Conference League final in the first half after Abde Ezzalzouli fired Manuel Pellegrini’s men into the lead in the opening 10 minutes in Poland.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side maintained their advantage going into half-time and Chelsea were left chasing the match going into the second half at the Wroclaw Stadium.

However, the Blues rallied back and Enzo Fernandez cancelled out Abde Ezzalzouli’s first-half opener in the 65th minute before Nicolas Jackson put Chelsea 2-1 up five minutes later.

Chelsea took full control of the Conference League final and Jadon Sancho came off the bench and the Manchester United loanee converted a stunning strike in the 83rd minute.

Moises Caicedo slammed home Chelsea’s fourth in injury time and Enzo Maresca’s men completed their 4-1 comeback win against Betis and lifted the Conference League trophy.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca turned to his bench and Jadon Sancho was brought on in the 61st minute, with Real Betis leading 1-0 at the time at the Wroclaw Stadium.

Sancho, who came on in place of Pedro Neto, was lively in the Blues’ attack and the 25-year-old winger made his impact felt in the final third in the Conference League final.

Manchester United fans wasted no time taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, and highlighted that Chelsea would now likely pay to make Sancho’s move permanent.

“Hopefully, Chelsea now pay the £25m for Sancho,” one Red Devils supporter wrote.

Another United fan sarcastically said: “That goal proves just how important Sancho is and can be for Chelsea. Please make that loan permanent, lads.”

A third X user tweeted: “Sancho’s buyout clause is going to be accepted now. Surely?”

Somebody else simply posted: “£25m for Sancho confirmed.”

“They better pay £25m for Jason Sancho,” a fifth added.

And a sixth commented: “[Chelsea], tomorrow, early morning, send Manchester United that £25m for Jadon Sancho.”

While another suggested: “Thank God Sancho has scored; Chelsea have no excuse [but] to trigger his £25m clause.”

Someone else claimed: “Chelsea have UCL [Champions League] and won the Conference [League], SURELY [sic] they trigger this Jadon Sancho £25m [fee]?”

What is Chelsea’s transfer deal with Man Utd over Jadon Sancho after the 4-1 Conference League final victory vs Real Betis?

Sancho left Old Trafford last summer and completed a season-long move to Stamford Bridge for the 2024-25 campaign after his fractured relationship with Erik ten Hag.

Chelsea’s deal to sign the former Borussia Dortmund ace from United in 2024 included an obligation to make the move permanent for a £20m to £25m fee this summer.

The Blues needed to finish above 15th place in the Premier League for the obligation to buy Sancho to automatically be triggered, but another clause raised concerns for United fans.

Chelsea could still scupper a permanent transfer of Sancho by paying a £5m clause and could then send the former England international back to Old Trafford this summer.

It now remains to be seen if the Conference League champions intend to keep United winger Sancho as part of Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad at Stamford Bridge.
