Police officers from the National Motorcycle Unit seized an electric scooter in Edinburgh yesterday Wednesday 28 May 2025.
The officers were on duty when they spotted the scooter being ridden in Ferry Road.
The rider, a 30-year-old male was reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Officers have also issued a reminder to the public that it is an offence to use an electric scooter on the roads.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers from the #NationalMotorcycleUnit stopped the rider of this scooter on Ferry Road in Edinburgh yesterday.
“It is illegal to use an electric scooter on Scotland’s roads.
“The scooter was seized and a 30-year-old is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal”
