IKEA has opened its first hotel in Spain UK tourists are calling “beautiful.”
Las Dunas de Santa Catalina Boutique House in Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands, is a brand-new two star hotel that is fully furnished and home to a well-sized pool.
The hotel has rooms available from £105 per night, and includes a full continental breakfast for its residents.
Other features of the establishment include adult-only rooms, as well as a choice of double or triple rooms.
Travellers who have a specific view they would prefer from their bedroom can also enjoy either a pool or garden view.

For those worried about IKEA’s classic yellow and blue branding in the hotel, it has been confirmed the accommodation is decorated with more subdued colours.
And holidaymakers who enjoy kicking back and relaxing can do so by the outdoor pool, on the dozens of sun beds available.
This area is overlooked by the restaurant, which has an outdoor garden terrace close by.
However, if you’re looking for in-house dinner you may be disappointed, as the IKEA hotel does not serve any meal but breakfast.
The same goes for those looking to relax at a spa, as this establishment does not have these facilities.

Although, a beach is only a stone’s throw away, and multiple places to eat, so there is plenty of choice for visitors.
Even though the hotel is brand-new, many holidaymakers have already gushed about how much they enjoyed their stay.
One said: “I really liked the quietness, you can’t hear any street noise, and the pool area is beautiful,” according to The Sun.
It has been reported the homeware chain also has their sights set on opening a second hotel in the Canary Islands at some point, the publication added.
