Bruno Tonioli was left in floods of tears moments after he was forced to apologise for making an ‘offensive’ comment. The final of Britain’s Got Talent aired on Saturday (May 31) with 10 finalists – and a wildcard act – in the running to be crowned the 2025 winner.

This year the winner will take home a grand prize of £250,000 and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the royal family.

The live show kicked off with a performance from the wildcard, ABBA tribute act Hannah and Fran, before a range of singers, comedians and dancers took to the stage.

But it was during a performance from comedian Joseph Charm where judge Bruno Tonioli slipped up. The TV judge, 69, was giving his feedback on the performance which left the audience in stitches.

Bruno was full of praise for the act, but soon got carried away as he let out a swear word before the 9pm watershed.

Bruno said: “We were just p***ing,” before pausing and correcting himself and then apologising.

As swearing is not allowed, host Dec was also forced to apologise on Bruno’s behalf, saying: “Apologies if you were offended by Bruno’s slip of the tongue there.”

Picking up on the slip-up, viewers took to X as @AGH1494 wrote: “A lovely swear from Bruno. #BGTFinal #BGT #BritainsGotTalent,” as another said: “Bruno dropped a minor swear klaxon! #bgt.”

@elliecolton_ added: “I’m sorry but Bruno swearing on Britains Got Talent has got me in stitches even 15 minutes after, so funny.”

Another viewer commented: “Dec apologising for Bruno,” followed by laughing crying emojis.

Later, after drag queen Jasmine Rice delivered a breath-taking rendition of ‘Nessun Dorma’, Bruno was left crying.

The judge was in floods of tears as he told the singer they were a ‘living work of art’.

Taking to X, @padahugs said: “was predicting that Bruno will cry at this #BGT.”

@KirstyJ80 also wrote: “Why do they always choose this song?! And Bruno in tears – get a grip #bgt.”
