Three people have now been arrested after a fight involving a machete broke out in broad daylight in the West Midlands on Monday afternoon, June 2.

West Midlands Police were called to a fight involving a machete on Moseley Road in Bilston just after 2pm on Monday.

The force said those involved in the “disorder” were no longer at the scene when they arrived but they arrested two men in the early hours of this morning.

A third person, a woman, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender, police said.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We’ve arrested two further suspects following a disorder in Bilston yesterday afternoon (Mon).

“We were called to a fight involving a machete in Moseley Road, shortly after 2.40pm.

“When officers arrived those involved were no longer at the scene but following quick-time enquiries we arrested a 21-year-old man this morning on suspicion of wounding.

“A second man, age 23, was also arrested in the early hours of today on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“They remain in custody this afternoon along with a 38-year-old woman arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender.

“Officers are continuing to liaise with two schools nearby to offer reassurance as we continue investigations.
