LAUREL Co., Ky. (WYMT) – A man was arrested in Laurel County for reckless driving and fleeing the police.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Lyle Hammons, 33, of London was arrested on May 31st on Hal Rogers Parkway near the intersection of US 25 in London.
Officers said Hammons vehicle was being driven with no lights while in the dark and was driving in-and-out of traffic.
Hammons reportedly did not stop when police tried to pull him over. Officers said he almost hit a police cruiser.
He was taken into custody, arrested, and charged with wanton endangerment, disregarding a traffic control device – traffic light, no headlamps, and fleeing or evading police.
He was taken to the Laurel County correctional center.
