The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in Birmingham and across the West Midlands today, Saturday, June 7.
Forecasters said heavy showers and thunderstorms may lead to some disruption to transport and infrastructure.
The warning is in place until 6pm today.

Despite the wet and gloomy forecast, the outlook appears much brighter next week.
In a forecast, the Met Office said: “Today (Sat): A changeable day with heavy showers likely, bringing a risk of hail and thunderstorms in places too.
“Rather cloudy through the morning but some warm sunny spells developing by the afternoon.
“Gusty winds at times. Maximum temperature 17C.
“Tonight: Showers becoming increasingly isolated this evening, although a few continuing into the early hours.
“Turning rather chilly and even cold enough for a local grass frost in prone rural spots. Minimum temperature 5C.
“Sunday: A drier day than on Saturday with all areas seeing some sunshine at times.
“Scattered showers are likely but some places will remain dry. Breezy but feeling a little warmer. Maximum temperature 17C.
“Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Mainly dry early next week with a mixture of cloud and periods of strong sunshine.
“Lighter winds than of late and turning warmer.”
