Despite a washout weekend as the Met Office forecast thunderstorms and widespread rain, next week will feel more like summer.
Forecasters predict temperatures will shoot to the mid-20s on Wednesday, June 11.
This weekend however, the Met Office issued a nine-hour weather warning for most of the South West, Wales and parts of England.
People have been warned of a wall of rain, brining torrential downpours and strong winds as well as lightning strikes today (June 7).
However, temperatures will begin to creep up through the high teens early next week, but Wednesday will see scorching temperatures of 25°C.
The day will start cool, around 15°C at 9am with some overcast cloud.
But by midday, the temperature will soar into the 20s.
At 4pm it will hit the mid 20s, remaining warm until 7pm.
The evening will cool as the sun sets, but temperatures will stay around 20°C.
The end of next week will cool off slightly, but it will remain in the low 20s into the weekend.
The Met Office does warn that the low-pressure system moving in from the Atlantic, which is brining the warmer weather, still brings the risk of thunderstorms.
It said: “Although temperatures look set to rise – with the high 20s°C possible in the southeast on Thursday – this warm air also brings with it the risk of thunderstorms, which could mean an unsettled end to the week.”
