Chris Davies has made six changes to the Birmingham City team he hopes completes a league and cup double at Wembley this afternoon.

The Blues boss has effectively reversed the changes he made as promotion was secured at Peterborough United on Tuesday night, with Jay Stansfield coming back in to lead the line.

He does so at the expense of Alfie May, who drops to the bench, in what has become a recognisable XI as Blues’ season has come to the boil in recent weeks.

Ben Davies, Ethan Laird, Paik Seung-ho, Keshi Anderson and Kieran Dowell are the other returnees, with Marc Leonard, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Luke Harris joining May among the substitutes.

Davies knew he would have to disappoint some members of his squad and Alfons Sampsted and club captain Krystian Bielik have not made the match-day group.

That means Ryan Allsop plays behind Laird, Christoph Klarer, Davies and Alex Cochrane. Paik is reunited with Tomoki Iwata in the middle of the park.

Dowell teams up with Anderson and Willum Willumsson behind Stansfield.

BLUES (4-2-3-1): Allsop; Laird, Klarer, Davies, Cochrane; Paik, Iwata; Dowell, Willumsson, Anderson; Stansfield.

Subs: Peacock-Farrell, May, Jutkiewicz, Leonard, Gardner-Hickman, Harris, Hanley
