Florian Wirtz is 13/2 to score first against France in today’s Nations League third-place play-off in Germany.

The Liverpool-linked midfielder has been the talk of the town in recent weeks as negotiations continue over a potential record-breaking move from Bayer Leverkusen to Anfield.

But while those negotiations continue, Wirtz continues to put his best foot forward and opened the scoring for Germany in their 2-1 defeat by Portugal in their semi-final clash on Wednesday.

On the French side, captain and forward Kylian Mbappe is 5/1 to score first – the most likely of any player in the game.

Marcus Thuram, Ousmane Dembele and  Randal Kolo Muani, meanwhile, are all priced at 6/1.

In terms of the winners of the tie, home side Germany are favoured at 4/5, while France can be backed at 10/11.
