Coronation Street cast members have shared their best wishes to co-star Adam Hussain after he announced he’s leaving the soap after five years.
The actor confirmed the big news on Instagram on Friday (April 11) following reports that he’d quit his role as Aadi Alahan.
Several co-stars commented on the post paying tribute to Adam, including Lauren Bolton actor Cait Fitton, who wrote: “Good luck Adam on your next adventure.”
“Awww we’ll miss you Adam!!” said Tony Maudsley, with fellow Corrie star Harriet Bibby adding: “Good luck Adam, you’ll smash it.”
Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow, wished Adam “all the best”, while Channique Sterling-Brown commented: “We love ya.”

Several former Corrie stars also commented on the post, including Ruxandra Porojnicu, who said: “Wow I can’t believe it’s been 5 years! You’ll do great!!”
Luca Toolan, who recently exited his role as Mason Radcliffe, wrote: “Worlds your oyster brother”, with Jacob Hay actor Jack James Ryan adding: “Well in lad.”
Confirming his exit last earlier this week, Adam said: “As some of you may have heard, I will be leaving Coronation Street for new pastures.
“Over the five years I’ve spent there, I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little.”

He added: “I have made friends that will last a lifetime and will surely miss such a special family!
“This isn’t a farewell for Aadi, however, more like a see you later! I’m excited to see what the future brings!”
Adam joined Coronation Street in 2020 after Zennon Ditchett, who’d previously played Aadi, left the show to focus on his studies.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
