Flights to Barbados will be starting this autumn from Bristol Airport – via Amsterdam.
The stunning shores of the Caribbean will be within reach from October 2025 to March 2026.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ has announced a new route from Amsterdam Schiphol to Bridgetown, Barbados.
With departures from Bristol to Amsterdam, travellers can then catch onward connections to Barbados.
The new service to Barbados will operate three weekly flights from Amsterdam on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from October 26, 2025 to March 26, 2026.
Dave Lees, CEO, Bristol Airport said: “We are delighted that KLM’s network continues to grow, providing our customers even greater choice and convenience.
“This new connection means our customers can now access the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados with just an easy connective flight in Amsterdam, making travel more accessible and convenient than ever before.”
Bristol Airport described Barbados as one of the largest underserved markets in the Caribbean, providing travellers with a sunny destination during the winter months.
Bridgetown is renowned for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich culture.
Last week, the first flight in a new direct route to Switzerland landed at Bristol Airport.
The Edelweiss flight from Zurich touched down last Monday afternoon (June 2).
Some passengers on board were arriving for business meetings, with others returning home from Switzerland or other countries, having connected in Zurich.
Also on board were visitors taking the opportunity to explore Bristol and the South West.
