National Express West Midlands services 9, X8 and X20 faced diversions but the incident is now said to be resolved.
The diversion was in place from around 5.15pm for buses coming out of Birmingham city centre but has now been lifted, with all services running normally and to route.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We were called to the Quinton Expressway this afternoon following concerns for the safety of a person.
“The person is now safe and is being supported by other agencies.”
