Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street fans have aired their suspicions over the new storyline which has seen Millie Silverton confirm that she is pregnant.

The figure surprisingly turned up on the door of the Grimshaws during Monday’s (9 June) episode, with the character telling Todd and her father, Theo, that she had left the family home following an argument with her mother, Danielle.

Theo, who is in a relationship with Todd, subsequently headed to Danielle to inform her of the developments, with Millie being left in the house with Todd. After a brief conversation, Millie revealed that she was pregnant, urging Todd to keep it a secret from her father.

The secret didn’t last long, however, with Millie soon informing Theo that she was pregnant. He agreed to move back in with his family to support his daughter, a decision that left Todd utterly heartbroken.

Naturally, there is always the potential for a twist when it comes to the world of soaps, with fans taking to social media to express their theories regarding the storyline, ranging from the identity of the father to whether Millie is being truthful at all.

“What’s the betting that Millie isn’t actually pregnant? Shes just using it to get her dad back home?” wrote one suspecting fan on X, with another noting: “Millie probably never been pregnant at all!”

“Theo returns to his family. Millie got her wish. Got her dad away from Todd,” wrote one viewer, with another theorising: “I wonder if this ‘pregnancy’ is all part of Millie’s plan to try and split up Todd and Theo and to get her parents back together.”

“Millie trying to drive a wedge between the lads,” wrote one viewer, while another shared their theory as they wrote: “So first of all Brody will have an illness which has caused his seizure, and Millie is lying about being pregnant to spilt Theo and Todd up.”

The mention of Brody Michaelis is somewhat pertinent to Millie’s ongoing storyline, with some fans speculating that the relative newcomer – the son of Lou and Kit Green – could be the father of Millie’s baby.

“Imagine if Brody is the father!” wrote one fan, with another theorising: “Yeah I think there’s gotta be a twist that Millie might have been dating Brody this whole time and there’s a twist Brody is indeed the father Millie’s baby.”

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
