Trace Cyrus ruthlessly targeted his father, Billy Ray, despite his sister Miley claiming that they had “mended” all of their family drama.
This week, Trace took to his Instagram Story to deliver a scathing message to the country singer, accusing him of being attention-seeking and calling him out for not attending his grandmother Loretta Finley’s funeral. In the post, the 36-year-old musician shared an image of his famous dad and wrote, “This man is so hungry for fame it’s pathetic.”
He continued: “He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn’t come to LA for Mammie’s funeral while he was still married to my mom. Even after his daughter got him a 60k private jet like he demanded, he still didn’t come, even after the plane was paid for.”

Trace angrily went on to add: “You’re the lamest man to ever walk the planet earth. Honestly embarrassed to have ever considered you my idol [clown emoji]. The best thing to come from your downfall is that it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed-up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you. Christ is king. Get it right with God. You need it.”

Trace is Billy’s adopted son, whom he shared with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus. Trace’s angry outburst comes as his sister Miley recently shared an opposing update in which she claimed that her family has repaired all of their messy family drama that has spanned over the last decade.
During an appearance on the Reclaiming podcast with Monica Lewinsky, she reflected on the turmoil, sharing that they had difficulty even going to therapy. She said, “We’re so messy, we didn’t even do any of that.”
Miley continued: “Just to get each other into a room to get to counseling would have been a war.” The singer went on to add that during the peak of it all “half of [her family members] weren’t speaking to each other at one point.”

The Grammy award-winning singer went on to assure fans that all of their issues are in the past, although that’s not how Trace’s post made it appear. The Flowers hitmaker told Monica that as a family, they have “cleaned all that up” and spent “a really important part of [her] year putting those lines of communication back together.”
Miley also confirmed that in her new album, Something Beautiful, she will touch on her family dynamics and some of the drama that she experienced behind the scenes. The 32-year-old artist confirmed that one of these songs is titled ‘Secrets.’ Miley shared that the inspiration behind the song is “to feel safe enough to tell [her] the things that were damning and damaging to the family.”
