Love Island fans branded the latest episode a “hard watch”
Love Island enthusiasts tuned into ITV were left unimpressed with tonight’s segment of the show, dubbing it a “hard watch” and even opting to turn off the telly just minutes into the programme.
Eager fans had been revving up for the return of the beloved dating spectacle which came back with a bang this week. A mere 48 hours in, viewers have already been thrown by a twists and turns including one unlucky islander getting the boot and a bombshell unveiling.
Sophie found herself being the first girl to be axed from the reality escapade just 24 hours in during last evening’s episode (June 10), as her match Harry was snatched away by Shakira. And tonight’s edition saw the drama persist.
Viewers slammed the cringe-worthy segments and hinted at switching off not long after the episode kicked off after awkward scenes between Ben and his latest flame Toni. Earlier on this week, audiences witnessed Toni swooping in for Ben almost immediately upon her villa entry, whisking him away from Shakira.

Yet again, Ben became the sensation across social media platforms when he spoke to his fellow contestants that his connection with Toni had produced “the ick”. During a group consensus, Toni remarked: “Boys, it’s your turn, just saying – I don’t think you’re gonna be safe”, reports OK!
To which Ben responded: “Are you saying me in particular?” Toni countered: “No it’s about boys, not everything is about you.”
Ben excused himself shortly thereafter before disclosing to the others how he truly felt. Addressed by Toni about his earlier remarks, she asked: “I’ve heard from people you said I’m giving you the ick?”, prompting an uncomfortable exchange that concluded with the two deciding to call it quits.
