A woman has wowed homeowners with her creative use of Ikea products to style her bedroom curtain rail. Interior and DIY blogger Byluinterior took to TikTok to share a video of her room, featuring a triple track curtain rail from Ikea that transforms her window area into something you’d see in a ‘luxury hotel’.

The comment section was filled with admiration for how she decorated her bedroom, and many people described her ‘hack’ as ‘amazing’ and ‘beautiful’. In the caption, she explained how she used several items from the popular homeware shop to replicate the appearance of a ‘luxurious hotel’.

She said: “The easiest, cheapest way to get this luxurious hotel curtain look from Ikea.” Going through each item and what step she took, she added: “We used the VIDGA rail system, one full-length rail and added an extra quarter of another to get the length we wanted.

“These rails are actually so easy to cut, which makes it easy to add any size you want. I then added the RIKTING hooks to create the pleats (I used 10 for each panel).

“And a VIDGA glider and hook, you can use the glider only, but I wanted more length, so I added the hooks. The curtains are HILJA, and I used two pairs (4 panels). I added the VILBORG to layer them up and darken the room whenever needed!”

The video, which you can watch below, demonstrates how she replaced her old blinds with the VIDGA triple track rail for £19 and purchased a 20-pack of RIKTIG curtain hooks for £3.50. After installing the rail, she added the hooks into the curtain netting she bought, using a method of counting and folding to put in each hook.

She also got a 24-pack of VIDGA curtail gliders and hooks for £3, which she installed into the railing. She then put each hook attached to the netting into the individual gliders, and the end result is something straight out of a hotel room.

The curtain netting she bought was also from Ikea—the HILJA white 145x250cm curtains for £15. She also steamed the curtains to ensure they were as neat as possible. For times she wanted complete darkness, she also installed Ikea’s VILBORG beige £49 curtains in front of the HILJA ones.

The video has been watched more than 1.5 million times, with plenty of people sharing their thoughts in the comment section. One person said: “This is such a good hack! Love it!” Another said: “I got every item u put up, hope it’s looks exactly the same. Love it.”

A third suggested: “Love this idea, floor to ceiling would look even more high end.” One person called Lisa added: “This is amazing thank you.” Another wrote: “Wow, beautiful.”
