The Pride of Britain Awards is coming to Liverpool in its nationwide search for unsung heroes. Scousers can nominate their personal heroes at a pop-up event in Liverpool ONE.
In its landmark first year of partnership, P&O Cruises and the Pride of Britain Awards have announced the official opening of this year’s nominations to find the worthy 2025 winners.
To mark the occasion, P&O Cruises will be touring the nation with a unique nominations booth that allows people the chance to personally nominate their heroes.
Pride of Britain hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo boarded P&O Cruises flagship Britannia, along with previous Pride of Britain Award winners, for a celebratory event in Southampton last week.
They were joined by P&O Cruises red carpet host Jeff Brazier to officially open the nominations and kick off the booth tour, which started in Edinburgh’s St James’ Quarter on June 8.
The interactive booth will continue its travels across the UK, popping up in Paradise Place, outside the John Lewis store in Liverpool ONE, on Monday, June 16.
Members of the public will be encouraged to step inside the booth and share the inspiring stories of those who make a real difference in their communities. From acts of bravery to everyday kindness, the booth offers a personal and heartfelt way for people to recognise their unsung heroes.
The tour will continue to St David’s in Cardiff on June 18, before returning to West Quay, Southampton on June 20, coinciding with Britannia’s 10th anniversary sailing around the British Isles.
Carnival UK & P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “We are honoured to partner with Pride of Britain in this meaningful way. As Britannia celebrates her 10th anniversary sailing around the UK, it feels fitting to take this moment to seek out and celebrate the incredible people who make Britain so special. This is the first year of our dedicated Inspiration Award so we can’t wait to hear the incredible stories.”
Jeff Brazier said: “Celebrating everyday heroes is something that truly aligns with my values, so I am so excited to be a part of this incredible partnership with P&O Cruises.
“I’ll be travelling to Belfast and Liverpool to meet the public and seek out nominations, so I encourage locals to come along and be a part of the worthy cause.”

The launch of the nominations booth coincides with Britannia’s own milestone: its 10th anniversary sailing around Britain for two weeks, including an overnight stay in Liverpool.
Since its maiden voyage in 2015, Britannia has delivered unforgettable holidays at sea, visiting 90 unique ports, serving over 26,000 bottles of champagne and sailing an incredible 935,000 nautical miles – the equivalent of circling the globe 43 times.
Guests aboard the celebratory sailing can look forward exclusive culinary experiences with Food Heroes Marco Pierre White and Olly Smith, along with special guest Tom Parker Bowles; Marabelle Gin and Tidal Rum masterclasses; plus additional anniversary-themed dining and special entertainment.
Anyone who nominates an unsung hero in-person at the booth locations will be in with the chance to win a 14-night Caribbean cruise for two people. For those unable to visit the touring booth in person, nominations remain open online via the official Pride of Britain Awards website.
