Keeping with tradition, the finale of Trooping the Colour was the moment that the royal family members gathered on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch a flypast. King Charles and Queen Camilla took center stage, joined by Prince William, Princess Kate, their kids and other working members of the family.

In addition to twinning with mom Kate, Princess Charlotte wore a special accessory for Trooping the Colour. She sported a diamond horseshoe brooch, previously worn at Queen Elizabeth‘s funeral in September 2022, that was a gift from the late monarch to her great-granddaughter.

King Charles and Queen Camilla sat together in a horse-drawn carriage in the London parade. Although King Charles rode on horseback at Trooping the Colour in previous years, including his first such event as monarch in 2023, he also rode in a coach last year, just months after his cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment were publicly announced.

Princess Kate took part in the parade through London, riding in a horse-drawn carriage with her children. She sat side-by-side with Princess Charlotte, who sported a dress in a similar shade to her mom.

Seated across from them, Prince George and Prince Louis sported suits with red ties, color coordinating perfectly with dad Prince William’s military uniform.

While the 2024 Trooping the Colour called for closed carriages for the royal family due to rain, this year’s event was met with sunny skies. Crowds lined the streets of London to watch the festivities, including the members of the royal family taking part in the parade on horseback or riding in horse-drawn carriages.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted for the first time of Trooping the Colour arriving to Buckingham Palace by car, in which they were joined by their children.

Princess Kate wore an aquamarine coatdress from Catherine Walker with a matching wide-brimmed hat by Juliette Botterill, paired with earrings from the late Queen Elizabeth.
