A lip reader has disclosed the endearing question Princess Charlotte asked her mum Kate during their Trooping the Colour carriage ride.

The sight of Kate with Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis set off cheers as they departed Buckingham Palace in a carriage for the King’s official birthday parade.

The youngsters and their mother greeted onlookers from their carriage as they followed the King and Queen along the Mall to Horse Guards Parade, with Louis showing off his gappy smile.

At one point, Charlotte was seen turning to her mum, engaging in light-hearted conversation as they made their way along the route.

Professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman reported that she inquired: “Who is it?” referring to someone in the crowd, to which Kate responded.

Charlotte then seemed to remark: “Oh brilliant” before the two shared a laugh.

This charming exchange happened just before the King and Queen led the Royal Family onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace to observe a flypast by military aircraft, reports the Mirror.

They were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Members of the Royal family were spotted engaging in conversation as aircraft soared above the palace.

Onlookers gathered in The Mall erupted into cheers as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team – better known as the Red Arrows – flew overhead, leaving behind vibrant trails of red, white, and blue smoke.

The team utilised a mix of sustainable aviation fuel and standard jet fuel for their engines, along with a renewable biofuel to create the smoke trails. The Royal family offered one final wave to the crowd before retreating back into the Palace.

In other news, Kate resumed a significant Trooping the Colour duty today alongside the King and Queen.

As Colonel of the Irish Guards, she took her place on the dais next to the King and Queen to observe the impressive military parade at Horse Guards Parade.

Last year, she watched the display from the Major General’s office with her children, marking her return to duty following the commencement of her cancer treatment.

She looked stunning in a turquoise Catherine Walker coat dress, a hat by Juliette Botterill, her Irish Guards Regimental brooch, and a pair of earrings that once belonged to the late Queen, before taking her seat on the parade ground.

At the previous year’s Trooping the Colour, Kate made a triumphant comeback, marking her first official public appearance since disclosing her cancer diagnosis.

She held a prominent position on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF flypast, standing side-by-side with the King.

This was two months prior to her announcement that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. In January of this year, she shared the uplifting news that she is now in remission.
